The fed ex game

Keeping kids entertained in the car while driving can be tricky. Our boys actually made up a game to help pass the time. It’s a game the whole family can play. We get quite competitive. We play kids against parents. The game is called FedEx. It is played like this, as you’re driving look for FedEx Vehicles. A semi with one trailer is worth one point, a semi carrying two trailers is worth two points, a minivan or other small FedEx van is also worth two points, because they are smaller and easier to miss. Now if a player on one team calls out FedEx, and it turns out it’s just a semi or a van, and not actually fed ex that player gets a strike. You are allowed three strikes until you are out however, you can buy back into the game by using five of your teams points. I always keep a pad of paper and a pen in the truck for this game, it has definitely been a family favorite. Comment and let me know what games your family plays on the road 🙂

Let the adventures begin!

Traveling around 21 hours from our home , we hooked up to our new jayco Travel trailer. Our destination?. Fort Myers Beach Florida, at the red coconut rv park. How did we decide on the destination? By compete and total accident! We were so excited about our new travel trailer and wanting to take it out ( for Nathan’s birthday ) we didn’t realize it was also Memorial Day weekend. Finding a place was next to impossible (we were actually looking in destin area). A google ad popped up for the red coconut rv park right on the beach, with great ratings. We called and they had one spot, so we jumped on the offer with out even looking to make sure the location. 😂 yes our jaws dropped when we realized it was not in the area we had planned on, but let me tell you this was the best accidental vacation destination.

when we got there the park was mostly empty so we parked on our own ( usually they will park you with their tractor).we had full hook ups at this site, which was amazing for our first time out. They even had a laundry area that was definitely much appreciated. Our site was on the park side but still very close to the beach and tons of restaurants. These sites are cheaper so the savings aloud us to do even more activities. Our first night we booked a dolphin tour for the next day that included a stop at a private island for shelling and snorkeling. We even seen a manatee

For Nathan’s birthday we went parasailing

After a full week we made the journey home felling so Fulfilled. With so many great experiences. And ready for our next destination to make more memories.

welcome!

Hi I’m Danielle. I’m a mother of three, amazing littles. Owen, Ayden, and McKenzie. My husband Nathan, and i Have always dreamed of traveling and making memories with the kids, but like most families our day-to-day lives were consumed with work and paying the bills. As I’m sure you can imagine that was a very stressful. But this is nothing new to most families that want to travel. How do you afford it?.how do you make the time?. And my biggest question how do I make the most of our time together while our kids are still young?. Kids grow up so fast and the only thing that I kept thinking was I didn’t want my kids growing up on TV and Xbox I wanted the time we have together to be special with memories and experiences that they could bring with them into adulthood, stories that they could tell to their children one day. Even more than stories, places they could take their children one day to relive those memories .
